Miniature Lamps
Germicidal UV light, what lamp can I use to operate it?
I am trying to desinfect my bedroom from mold spores after a flood. I want to buy a germicidal UV light like the 8 watt 12″ T5 Miniature Bi-Pin (G5) Base Hot Cathode Germicidal Sterilamp Fluorescent Philips Light Bulb or the G40T10 – Germicidal Tube Lamp – G13 Medium Bi Pin Base – Ushio 3000315. However, I do not know what is the other part of the lamp called. I mean, I have a bulb now but where do I place it? What kind of lamp would be best for these two bulbs????
The problem you have is even if you just “turn” the light on, you have to move air across it. You’d be better off spaying lysol on everything and a good carpet cleaning.
The UV light you speak of is designed to be placed inside a furance air handler either above the coil or if its an A coil then the light would go between the A coil. Slant coils some say above and some say below.
