Mini Lamp
for my resistant materials gcse project i need to design and make ANYTHING, im concider a lamp or desk study..?
with a lamp, id like a way of projecting light from just one lightbulb maybe and projecting it vastly to make a great lamp.
with a desk study i’d like somewhere to put my mini phone speakers, and was wondering how could i store them? and increase the volume simply with the design itself?
if none of these seem good ideas to you, what else is suggested??

when i did my GCSE tech project i made an entertainment cabinet for the TV and DVD etc. however, when i did it at least, you only gained 18 marks out of a possible 100 for the actual making of the product. so the project you decide on must be one that you can complete vast amounts of folder work for.
i would go for the study desk if i were in your situation as this will enable you to show more skills and relate it to industry which always helps with the project. you can make several different designs for the desk, such as a compact one that folds away, one on wheels and just an ordinary desk.
where as making the lamp would be hard to do as this will involve probably some kind of injection mold, which unless you own a manufacturing plant will be hard to construct. if you think you can make a desk and do the folder work then i suggest doing that. i hope this helped you, if you have any other questions ask me, as i did get an A* in tech when i did it.
